  • 18 Jan 2020
  • 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
  • B.U. - 750 Commonwealth Avenue (classroom EPC204), Boston

In this #Me Too/Las Tesis moment, a translator and a bilingual author worked together to get the words and tone "just right" for a readership that would extend across national boundaries. In this talk they describe the process they followed, the interactions, and specific terms that posed challenges, such as: victim (f), survivor, abuser, stalking, and gender in the abusive dynamics.
