2020 NETA Conference

The 2020 Annual NETA Conference will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2020. It will once again be at UMass Boston. It is held in cooperation with the Latin American and Iberian Studies Department as well as the College of Advancing and Professional Studies Translation Program of the University of Massachusetts Boston.

NETA is pleased to announce that Corinne McKay will be our keynote speaker this year. Corinne's book, How to Succeed as a Freelance Translator, has sold over 12,000 copies in three editions since 2006, and her company, Training for Translators, offers a wide variety of online courses, master classes, and challenge groups for translators and interpreters. She also served as ATA president from 2017 to 2019.

A few of our speakers:

Anna Zielinska Elliott – translating Murakami into Polish and working with a community of European translators of Murakami’s work

Ester Serra Luque – interpreting for people who have experienced trauma

Mali Sastri – voice workshop for interpreters
